Being outside, breathing in the fresh air and discovering the small details of nature. Hoiho reminds us of these moments. These unisex socks with an embroidered penguin motif bring a piece of New Zealand to your feet. Inspired by the yellow-eyed penguin, which is called Hoiho in the Māori language, the penguin and its footprints remind us to treat nature with care.
Hoiho stands for everyone who leaves only enough traces so others can still experience the beauty of the world.
Character you love wearing
As part of our Retro Ribs collection, Hoiho combines a ribbed shaft with a fully cushioned insole and a midfoot band for support. 76% Lyocell provides a soft feel. Lyocell is made from wood-based cellulose, absorbs moisture and can also help reduce odour.
Our material mix is the result of more than two and a half years of development work. We selected the yarns with a view to comfort, function and their environmental impact.
A family-run company with a sense of detail
Behind Synix stand mother and son. Together we design socks with motifs that tell a story and that people like to wear. Hoiho was designed in Winterthur and produced in Türkiye.
