Questions & Answers (FAQ)
Your questions, our answers.
Our yarns mostly come from European manufacturers as well as an innovative Japanese producer. We work exclusively with partners who share our values around sustainability, quality, and transparency.
A material is officially considered bio-based if at least 20–25% of its mass comes from renewable sources such as wood, plant oils, or other plant-based raw materials. We deliberately go further: Many of our yarns are either 100% bio-based or at least 46% bio-based to ensure a real reduction in fossil-based raw materials.
Not all yarns are bio-based. For materials that do not meet this threshold, we use modern yarns that have been optimized to reduce environmental impact throughout their lifecycle — for example, through durability, resource conservation, or recyclability. This ensures that our products are designed sustainably without glossing over reality.
We deliberately focus on material diversity because different materials enable us to create unique products and designs. We see this diversity as the key to our success: it provides a wide range of resources and allows us to develop distinctive, high-quality, and diverse products.
Our long-term goal is to use only yarns with a 100% bio-based share and, in the future, also biodegradable yarns. Important to know: “Bio-based” does not automatically mean biodegradable. A yarn can be made from renewable raw materials without fully decomposing in nature.
In addition, we continuously evaluate new materials, test their quality, and assess how they can be integrated into our designs and applications. This ensures that sustainability, comfort, and functionality go hand in hand, and that our products remain both responsible and unique.
Through our partnership with Inverto Earth, we support the restoration of coastal ecosystems, particularly mangrove forests. Inverto Earth works with local communities and uses innovative technologies such as drones, remote sensing, and long-term monitoring to ensure that reforestation projects are managed in a measurable and transparent manner. The focus is not only on CO₂ sequestration but also on biodiversity, coastal protection, and sustainable impact.

Our products are made in the European part of Turkey. We’ve been there in person several times, took a close look at the production facility, and spoke with employees.
The machines are modern, the working environment is clean and well organized. The conversations with the staff felt open and positive. This allowed us to form our own impression of the conditions—and we were very satisfied with what we saw.
Transparency and respectful interaction at every level are important to us. That’s why we’re in direct contact with the factory and want to continue visiting regularly in the future.
Our designs are created in Winti and draw on personal moments, experiences, and symbols that carry stories and memories. They are inspired by the people, movements, and places that shape us. Behind every design is a story that comes to life when you wear it. Take a look at our Retro Rips, for example, and you’ll see what we mean.
Important: Wash before first wear — this removes any production residue and reduces pilling!
Our products can be conveniently machine-washed, but please be gentle:
– Machine wash at max. 30°C
– Do not bleach, iron, or tumble dry
– Do not use dry cleaning or fabric softener
Also avoid strong spin cycles — this protects the material and extends its lifespan.
One more note: Water hardness can affect the fibers. In regions with very hard water, we recommend a limescale filter or an eco-friendly descaler to maintain the fabric’s quality over the long term.
Our socks are stretchy and fit the foot perfectly. Larger sizes may have a slightly higher cuff. If you’d like them to be shorter or tighter, you can choose a size smaller.
